3 uptown condos for sale inside of 277 and under $190k

With the luxury apartment market in Charlotte booming, living near uptown is getting more and more expensive. But there are still some condos uptown where buying may prove to be more affordable on a monthly basis than renting, especially for people who care about an ultra-central location more than square footage.

Priced between $169,000-$189,000, a mortgage at one of these three properties would run about $600-800 per month, depending on your credit and down payment.

Factor in another $150-200 for HOA dues, and you’re looking at $750-$1,000 a month, easily half of what many uptown dwellers are paying in rent.

For many younger and first-time buyers, of course, the down-payment can be a hurdle, part of why urban living in Charlotte is becoming synonymous with “gets financial support from parents.”
