A new Irish pub and restaurant is now open in the former East Boulevard Bar & Grill space in Dilworth.
The Rogue is in a soft opening phase and will be easing into full operating hours in the coming week, eventually expanding to offer lunch and dinner service.
Owner Jackie McHugh, a native of Donegal on the northeast coast of Ireland, aims to recreate the feeling of the neighborhood pubs he remembers from back home.
You’ll see that influence from the menus, which feature traditional Irish fare like shepherd’s pie, to the cozy seating nooks known as “snugs.”
Behind the bar, they’ve got a dozen taps, straight forward cocktails and plenty of Irish whiskey.
Cocktails are in the $6-$12 range with most clocking in at $10. And all are named after famous “rogues” throughout history, like Guy Fawkes and Pancho Villa.
Frozen Irish coffee ($5) will be a daily house specialty.
