Though the listing of this Cornelius luxury mansion doesn’t come out and say it, this home’s interior and exterior served as the setting for Will Ferrell’s life once he made it big in NASCAR.

You’ll recognize the front of the house from a shot featuring a Hummer, trucks, boat and sports car parked in the cul-de-sac driveway.

Then the camera moves to the interior of the home for the family dinner scene where Will Ferrell hilariously offers a grace to Dear Lord Baby Jesus, thanking Him for the bountiful harvest from Domino’s and KFC, and adds in praise for Powerade due to an endorsement contract requirement.

The address of the listing is 17240 Connor Quay Court, Cornelius — 9,802 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 6 full baths, 3 half baths on 1.3 acres.

The house, in a gated Lake Norman community near Jetton Park (Exit 28 off I-77), has a pile of features for a NASCAR superstar.

These features include: outdoor fireplaces, a guest suite with a second-floor balcony looking at the lake, a putting green, half basketball court, a private beach with sand, numerous wet bars/mini-kitchens and pantries for entertaining, two lake piers, an outdoor shower overlooking the pool and hot tub, an elevator, plenty of stonework everywhere, and a wine cellar tucked under a staircase.

As a practical parent of young children, I also found the house’s laundry rooms on both floors a pretty exciting luxury.

As John C. Reilly’s character puts it, like Jesus wearing a tuxedo T-shirt, the house says “I want to be formal, but I’m here to party, too.”
