A new bar concept is coming to Fourth Ward.
Charlotte Business Journal reports that The Daily, a craft beer and cocktail bar, is targeting an early fall opening at the corner of West 6th and North Church Streets.
The 5,100-square-foot spot, located at 214 N. Church Street, has been vacant since Dillinger’s closed back in 2014.

The website describes The Daily as “a refined watering hole” serving craft beer, cocktails and American fare.
The team behind the project knows Charlotte nightlife well.
Kevin Devin, Maynard Goble and Tommy Timmins own five powerhouse bars in Uptown, South End and Plaza Midwood — Connolly’s, Prohibition, Dandelion Market, Tyber Creek and Workman’s Friend.
According to Legacy Partners, Andrew Curry, general manager at Tyber Creek, is joining the crew as the owner/operator of The Daily.

Renderings shared on Instagram show an upgraded patio that will breathe new life into a long stagnant corner of Uptown.
I haven’t been in this space since it was Stool Pigeons (the sports bar that preceded Dillinger’s – RIP) and can’t wait to see what these industry vets have planned for it.
