Wu’s is targeting a mid-June opening in the former Nan & Byron’s space on South Boulevard.
You know the spot; it’s the one with the gators climbing up the front of the building.
The Asian-Cajun fusion restaurant is the latest concept from Bottle Cap Group, the same team behind All American Pub, Hot Taco, Whiskey Warehouse, Brazwell’s, Slate, Oak Room and Ink N Ivy.

From decor to food, they’re aiming for a “New Orleans meets Far East Asia” vibe.
That theme manifests as gator statues alongside Maneki Neko (the Japanese waving fortune cat) and a Bourbon Street-style balcony mural lined with Chinese lanterns.
But what exactly does “Asian” encompass in Wu’s kitchen? The menu pulls inspiration from Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Vietnamese cuisines.

On the menu, you’ll find everything from gator balls and gumbo to sushi and tuna poke.
Theres a mix of traditional dishes — like dirty rice, gumbo, shrimp toast and kalbi short ribs — as well as inventive fusion interpretations that marry Cajun and Asian flavors together.
Look for dishes like gumbo ramen, gator sushi, crawfish fried rice and the Oyster Po’ Mi, a sandwich that riffs on the Louisiana po’ boy and the Vietnamese banh mi.
