To get started, head to the big red barn.
Parking is free and easy to navigate. On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, we had no trouble finding a spot.
From there, follow the path along the field to the big red barn. You don’t have to wait in line or talk to anyone to start picking. Just grab a container, review the strawberry-picking guide (which will help you identify which berries are ripe) and head out to the field. They have free wagons out front if you have little pickers in tow.
You’ll weigh and pay for your harvest inside the same building when you’re done. Strawberries are $3.29/pound.

Remember sunscreen and water for when you’re out in the field.
It gets hot out there.
Also, you’re not supposed to eat the strawberries while you’re in the field but if they’re just too tempting to resist before they’ve been weighed, you can drop some extra cash in the honor box near the field entrance.

Refuel afterwards with some organic refreshments.
When you weigh and pay for your strawberries, be sure to grab some snacks at the concession counter. They have slushies made with organic fruit and sugar, popcorn popped in coconut oil and even cotton candy made with organic cane sugar.

But save room for the best part of visiting Wise Acres — their wood-fired pizza.
Just across from the barn is Wise Pie, a rustic outdoor pizza kitchen with a wood-fired oven.
Pizza is new to Wise Acres this year and it’s in high demand so be prepared for a line and a possible sell out before you get to the front. They share pizza availability on Facebook and Instagram so be sure to follow for updates.
The menu features five different pizzas ($10 – $14) as well as gluten-free crust (+$5) and vegan cheese (+$3) options.
Pizza is only available Friday and Saturday (11a-7p) and Sunday (11a-4p). But again, check updates online. On the Sunday we were there, they were sold out of pizza by about 1 p.m.

While you wait for your pizza, you’ll find plenty of kid-friendly activities to keep everyone busy.
They’ve got swings, a mini ropes course and even a zip line.
