World of Beer and a soda/candy shop called Rocket Fizz are coming to the EpiCentre.
You might remember World of Beer from its former South End location, but this new Uptown location will be larger and entirely different with a staggering number of beer selections, liquor and a full-service restaurant. Nearly 5,000 square feet of beer glory and will add to the variety of bar offerings in the EpiCentre.
World of Beer will be located on the second floor in the empty space where Revolution used to be (next to Tin Roof).

Rocket Fizz, a chain of novelty candy stores, will enter the Charlotte market for the first time at the EpiCentre.
It’s packed wall to wall with candy, toys and specialty sodas and is the perfect place to get a massive sugar rush. This will add a unique retail draw that the EpiCentre lacks.
Personally, I think the EpiCentre is in major need of some improvements from the facade, including paint, lighting and just overall clean up. Hopefully these two new tenants (and some more on the way) will jump start the owners into doing that necessary rehab.
No opening dates have been set yet but permitting has begun.
