Kick off your healthy new year with a $10 all-you-can-eat hot dog brunch

For these people there’s the $10 all-you-can-eat hot dog brunch at The Improper Pig.

It’s a pretty serious spread of unlimited smoked all-beef hot dogs and homemade toppings.

They’ll have pimento cheese, chili, two kinds of slaw, bacon, pineapple (?) and more so you’ll be able to try endless topping combinations until you find your favorite or pass out.

By the numbers, they’re prepared to run through 200 dogs, 10 pounds of pimento cheese and 10 pounds of chili. Doors open at 11 a.m. and unlimited dogs are available until they run out so you might want to get there early.

Of course, if you’re planning to welcome 2017 in a food coma, the best way to get there is to pair your limitless dogs with a Bloody Mary.

And Improper Pig is not playing around with their special New Year’s Day variation. It’s a meal in a glass with a BBQ pork slider, BBQ chicken slider, smoked chicken wing, onion rings, a jalapeno cornbread fritter and standard vegetables fixings of pickles, olives, lime, lemon and celery.

Yikes.

It clocks in at a hefty $18 but definitely counts as lunch, too. You might want to save this one for a day when you’re not eating as many hot dogs as your body will allow.

If dogs aren’t your thing, they’ll still have their full menu available plus some New Year’s Day specials.

Their Good Luck Soup is loaded down with collard greens and black-eyed peas, the superstitious southern foods of good fortune.

They’ve also got a New Year’s Lucky Plate with smoked BBQ pulled pork, collard greens for wealth, black-eyed peas for luck and a cup of Good Luck Soup for extra luck.

As the Agenda’s token vegetarian, I’d be remiss not to point out that when they’re not serving unlimited hot dogs The Improper Pig is also surprisingly super veg-friendly.

They have 16 meat-free options (all labeled as vegetarian or vegan on the menu), including BBQ kale chips, a “No Pig” portobello sandwich and smoked tofu as a substitution on any of the meat platters.
