Rise Biscuits Donuts, a popular Durham-based breakfast and lunch spot, will open its first Charlotte location on Saturday, December 3. But you can sample the goods early.
Ahead of their grand opening, they’re doling out free food from 12 – 2 p.m. today and tomorrow.
Today (Thursday) they’re offering free biscuits and tomorrow (Friday) they’ll have free doughnuts.

And that’s not all. They’re also giving away free biscuits and doughnuts for life to one lucky superfan.
Tag the person who tipped you off to Rise (cough cough me, just kidding) in this photo on Facebook and they just might win the ultimate lifetime indulgence — up to $20 per day in free Rise food.
Better come with a gym membership.
Allison Shoaf, who owns the Rise Ballantyne location with her husband, describes the food as a “wonderfully bad thing.”
She says her top doughnut choice is the apple fritter, calling it an “underrated personal favorite” and her favorite savory item is the fried bologna sandwich.
Shoaf and her husband live in Raleigh with their four children (ages 7, 5, 2 and 3 months) but are thrilled to be connected to Charlotte with their business. “I love Charlotte,” she said. My heart is in Lake Norman.”

You’ll find Rise Ballantyne at 11212 Providence Road W.
Daily hours are 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Rise has also announced plans for a second Charlotte location at Rivergate Shopping Center in Steele Creek coming March 2017 (under different ownership) and Shoaf says she and her husband have additional locations in the works, as well.
