Triple C Brewing expanding into 10,000 sqft space across the street — and the plans look gorgeous

Construction permits are currently in their third review and the goal is to debut the space in February if all goes well. Once permits are approved, the buildout will take about three months.

The expansion will house new brewery equipment designed to brew smaller batches of certain beers, a catering kitchen, large restroom and a 4,400 sqft private event space.

The private event space has plans to seat around 200 people.

Similiar to the current Triple C taproom, there’ll be a large glass partition so that customers can view into the brewing operations.

With the exception of Triple C events, the new taproom space will only be used for private parties.

“We really wanted more flexibility,” owner Chris Harker told me. “We’ll host a bunch of Triple C events at the new space, including Triple C Yoga and new beer releases.”

Chris hasn’t decide on rental fees yet, but since the space is large and the upfit is expensive, expect it to be a material rental fee. The South End brewery currently has a lot of demand that it has to turn down for renting its existing taproom.

Charlotte needs more event space and it’s exciting to see that the design allows for large parties. I anticipate that the investment will pay off for Triple C Brewing.
