Stroller Strides makes push in Charlotte with 2 new sites
Moms who want to break a sweat with their kids in tow have two new options in south Charlotte.
Fit4Mom Charlotte is bringing the Stroller Strides franchise to Waxhaw and a new location in south Charlotte. The Waxhaw classes began earlier this month, and the south Charlotte classes begin Friday at William R. Davie Park.
Fit4Mom also offers classes in Dilworth and Pineville. Here’s what you need to know:
What can I expect from the workout?
Women with children (and expectant mothers) are welcome as long as kids comfortably fit in a stroller. You don’t have to have an expensive jogger, but you do need a stroller that won’t easily tip over. Bring a mat or towel for any ground exercises.
The classes are designed for fitness levels of all types, so if you’re just coming back postpartum, you won’t feel left behind. You’ll still be able to push yourself though if you’re at a more advanced fitness level.
How much does it cost?
You can try out an hour-long class for free. There are a variety of pricing options, ranging from $15 for a single class to $65 a month for unlimited classes. They also have some attractive options like a teacher summer pass and two-month maternity leave package for moms who will be going back to work.
When and where are classes?
Dilworth – Covenant Presbyterian Church. Monday, Wednesday, Fridays at 10 a.m.
Pineville – Pineville Lake Park. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m.
Waxhaw – H.C. Nesbit Park. Monday, Wednesday, Fridays at 10 a.m.
South Charlotte – William R Davie Park. Monday, Wednesday, Fridays at 10 a.m.
