At the Summit Room, you can buy a drink for a friend and then let him collect on his own terms.
I love fun, community-oriented stuff like this.
On the right side of the Summit Room bar, you’ll see a chalkboard with the columns – for, from and drink.

It’s dead simple – you tell the bartender the name of your friend and the drink you’d like to buy for them. He’ll then ring you up for the drink and all you have to do is let you’re buddy know to talk with the bartender the next time he goes to the Summit Room.
I chatted with Bo McDonald, the General Manager of The Summit Room in his usual cramped office attached to The Mayobird (same group also owns/operates both restaurants) and Bo told me, “Yes, it’s super fun. People love ordering drinks for their friends and I bet we get about 15 or so people that do this each week.”
