Crosland Southeast and Childress Klein are in the midst of developing a massive mixed-use project near Providence Road and I-485 called Waverly. The development will be anchored by a Whole Foods but have numerous retail tenants, office buildings, upscale apartments and single family homes.
The two developers have now teamed up to buy 8.5 acres across the street and adjacent to a big Crescent Communities development. Yes, it’s safe to say this area is hot right now.
The new development doesn’t have a name yet.

Also look for a hotel on the site.
Crescent’s development next door is called Crescent Providence Farm. The developer broke ground on a 404-unit apartment community there this summer.
