The Turnhouse Grille to open in the spot formerly occupied by Tiki Hideaway
A restaurant and bar named The Turnhouse Grille is taking the spot formerly occupied by Tiki Hideaway and is is now doing soft openings.
It’s located under the Jason’s Deli across the street from Park Road Shopping Center.
No official grand opening date is set (no website has launched yet either). I chatted with the owner and he told me that they opened their doors without promotion or any fanfare last night. I’d give it a week or two before you pop in – they’re working out the kinks with a bunch of soft opening parties.
What will the vibe be like at The Turnhouse Grille?
Think love child of Good Food and Selwyn Pub with a Reid’s type clientele. Dinner and bar only, no lunch. I saw about six taps (fancy cold draft system) and the owner told me “the wine list will be outstanding.”
This location is brutal (just ask Mike from Tiki Hideaway – RIP), but there’s no doubt that this area could use an upscale, intimate bar for those that want to graduate from the Selwyn Pub crowd to a more mature setting.
Stay tuned, we’ll be reporting more details on The Turnhouse Grille over the next week or so.
