HQ Charlotte will be shuttling its members to and from Uptown parking lots

HQ Charlotte has just announced an interesting solution to scarcity of affordable and close-by Uptown parking.
The coworking space formerly known as Packard Place will now offer its members eco-friendly cart shuttle to three public parking lots around Uptown.

Their program will be in partnership with Jaunt Charlotte.

The partnership with Jaunt begins Monday.
The idea is somewhat similar to Cruise Carts, which offers free rides around Uptown and surrounding areas. The Jaunt rides will be free for HQ Charlotte members, but Jaunt also offers paid rides to the general public.

They’ll make morning and evening runs.
Carts will run from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. They’ll run from the West Parking lot on West 4th Street, and the Preferred Parking lots on West Trade and South Graham streets.
All of these are low cost (around $3 per day) but a substantial walk from HQ Charlotte. Parking garages closer are a lot more expensive — $10-plus, and getting pricier.
