Danny Gassaway Fillmore Charlotte light show cover
It’s a somewhat slow week in the area, which seems to happen sometimes around the middle of the summer. Ragbirds and Roosevelts are in town this week, as well as Ray LaMontagne. Fillmore Underground opens in just two weekends. The new venue will be a nice boost to the local music scene.
Times listed are when the show is scheduled to start, not when the doors are opened. Unless listed otherwise , prices are before taxes and fees.
Agenda Picks
- 7/14: The Roosevelts, Porch 40; Visulite Theatre, 9 p.m., $12-$15 (tickets). They say it’s “rock – with some mandolin,” but the Nashville duo is a lot more than that. It’s new rock with catchy lyrics and soulful harmonies.
- 7/16: The Ragbirds, U.S. National Whitewater Center, 7 p.m., free. Erin Zindle does it all, playing mandolin, accordion and banjo, however it’s her airy vocals and fiddle that drive the pop folk band.
