Hart’s Soda Shop is opening a permanent location with an old-fashioned counter

The craft soda shop launched just over a year ago as a pop-up shop. For the last six months, it’s been operating out of a renovated VW bus.

The new permanent location will let the shop expand its menu with more ice cream flavors, malts, coffees and more, owner Kara Urquhart said. She’ll be able to make her soda syrups on site, as well.

And perhaps best of all — there will be an old-fashioned soda counter with 15-20 seats.

The location is under construction now and expected to open in September.

Note: The chairs below won’t be the chairs at the counter.

The location is where the Art Hole used to be.

The bus will still be used for private events.

It’ll be parked outside at the new location, as well. Kara called it the heart and soul of the business.
