A Florida burger concept is coming to Fort Mill with plans to expand

Burger Craft is scheduled to open today, serving grass-fed beef and organic chicken.

This is the concept’s first independent franchise and is based off a two-year-old restaurant in Clermont, Florida. The idea is to be fast casual, cooked to order, kid friendly and healthy — think the Crossfit market.

Location is in the Crossroads Plaza off Gold Hill Road (two miles from I-77).

There’s also going to be hot dogs and build-your-own burger options.

They’ve got big plans to expand.

Founder Suzanne Bonham has experience with Disney resorts and JW Mariott, and she’s used to helping franchises expand. A new location is underway in Florida, and more are likely in South Carolina, too. A Charlotte location could one day be in the works as well, Bonham said.

Local franchise owner Aaron DeLuca said his location in Fort Mill made sense because the family restaurant options are limited.
