The NoDa Animal Hospital is being forced to leave the neighborhood

The NoDa Animal Hospital will have to shut its doors by the end of July.
Dr. Oona Gayle said her landlord unexpectedly told her in May that she needed to move out after six years next door to Heist Brewery.
She said that the landlord told her she was supposed to give 180 days notice that she planned to stay, and wasn’t told that she needed to do so. The landlord, TriBridge Communities, was unable to be reached for comment.

The animal hospital hopes to find a new location, but nothing is set yet.
Dr. Gayle said she’s looking at a location in Matthews and a few others. She said she’s mainly concerned for her employees.

It’s unclear what exactly will happen with the space by Heist.
Dr. Gayle said she was told it was needed for Heist Brewery to expand. Heist general manager Spencer Farrell said that’s not confirmed or imminent.
