Being an adult is hard. You work 9-5 and then come home to an endless to-do list. You exercise, fix something half healthy for dinner and maybe try to catch up with friends (or your favorite TV shows). If you have a dog, you’ve got to work in a walk, and if you have kids, then god bless you.
All that day-to-day stuff leaves barely any room for free time. Wouldn’t it be nice to get a little bit of that free time back? Enter 2U Laundry.

Back in November we ran a story about the founders of 2U Laundry and how they started their service. Since then, they’ve been blowing up.
2U Laundry is a premium laundry and dry cleaning delivery service. They pick up dry cleaning, laundry, shoe shines, shoe repairs and alterations right from your door and return them within one day. They offer custom detergents, hand drying options and more. They’ll even text you reminders when they pick up your clothes and drop them off.

They now service over 70 apartment buildings throughout Charlotte, including The Vue, The Ashton South End, SkyHouse, Catalyst, etc. And they are continuing to grow.
Here are seven Charlotte people that should definitely be using 2U Laundry.
(1) You work in investment banking at either Wells Fargo or BofA and barely have time to sleep, let alone do laundry.

You probably get off work close to midnight (or later) and have no social life. On your protected weekends you want to be at Olde Meck drinking a Southside Weiss and soaking in some much needed Vitamin D. After a four-hour night of sleep, you just want to wake up and have a freshly pressed shirt to put on without thinking about it.
(2) You’re a busy Dilworth parent trying to save time on chores so you can enjoy some time at Freedom Park with the kids.
Between getting everyone wrangled together for a sit-down meal, chauffeuring to softball games and making sure your golden retriever doesn’t destroy everything in sight, you are the glue that holds your household together. It’s nice to be able to check one big thing off your to-do list so you can spend the afternoon in Freedom Park wearing out your little ones.

(3) You’re training for the Charlotte Marathon and have to use all of your spare time logging running hours on the Booty Loop.
Training for a marathon is no joke. If you thought it was, you might want to drop down to the 5k. You’ve got to be able to set aside hours of time outside of work to get up to 26.2 miles. This means you don’t have extra time to be wasting doing laundry. Luckily, while you’re out getting sweaty, your clothes will be getting squeaky clean.
(4) You’re a creative professional freelancing regularly on top of your full-time job and when you aren’t working, you’d rather be at NoDa Brewing than washing your plaid shirts.

Most Charlotte creatives put in a lot of work hours between their full-time jobs and freelance work. It’s all about building that portfolio (and making extra cash). So when all your work is done, you want to check out NoDa Brewing’s weekly beer release before heading to Abari and throwing down on NBA Jam.
(5) You’re a consultant at Deloitte and you travel during the week for work, so on the weekends you’re busy catching up with your buddies at Selwyn Pub.
You spend a lot of time in hotels and airports Monday through Friday so when you’re home, you’re ready to unwind on a patio and watch whatever game is on. With only two days a week in the best city on earth, you’ve got to prioritize accordingly.

(6) You’re a UNC Charlotte student and you’re busy with a full class load so you and your roommate go halvsies on a 2U Laundry package.
Between class, your part-time job, studying and hanging out with friends, your laundry has seriously been neglected. Splitting a 2U Laundry package is the smartest thing you’ve ever done. Your mom would be proud.
(7) You’re new parents, plus you both still have full-time jobs, leaving little time to wash, dry and fold.
Having your first baby is an exciting time. It’s also nerve-wracking and tiring. You’re juggling work, quality time with your little one and attempting to remain a normal human. It’s nice to not have to think about doing the laundry.
