I asked the guy working the takeout counter at Portofino’s how many takeout orders they get each night. He smiled, laughed and said, “I don’t even know… A lot!”

I’d give Portofino’s pizza a B- grade. But the pasta is A+. It’s outstanding. Just look at this to-go order of Spaghetti Bolognese…

The pasta comes with your typical Italian restaurant salad. It’s okay (I wish they’d pack it with more), but the dressing is the type that you want to bathe your body in.

But instead of drinking the dressing, you should just dip the fresh bread (free).

My family order (wife, 18-month-old and me): Spaghetti Bolognese, add a house salad with house dressing (so 2 total) and they toss in the free bread. $18 total.
