Does it still count as “drinking local” if it’s a beer from Wake Forest?

NoDa’s Hop Drop is high on the list, as is Birdsong Jalapeño Pale Ale. I’ll get them at Harris Teeter or Brawley’s or Total Wine on my way home from work.

But sometimes I branch out for other North Carolina brands.

Like Foothills from Winston-Salem or Highland from Asheville. Lately, I’ve been real big on White Street Brewing’s Hoptimist. They’re out of Wake Forest, which is right near Raleigh.

They even gave me a glass when they were doing a tasting locally.

Does this mean I’m cheating on Charlotte beer? Or am I still drinking local?
