Tuck Fest is this weekend at the U.S. National Whitewater Center. Charlotte Jazz Festival returns. Lots of fun, free music to check out. It should also drop below 90° again. Hurray.

- 4/22 through 4/24: Tuck Fest, U.S. National Whitewater Center, free. Starting Friday, the three-day event will be packed with competitions, clinics, and yes, lots of live music. St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Langhorne Slim & The Law and Dawes headline.
- 4/21 through 4/23: Charlotte Jazz Festival (more info). Charlotte Jazz Festival returns and features a wide range of events, from a Creole brunch to late night shows at the Westin, culminating in two performances by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, which will be led by Wynton Marsalis.
