30-60 mins depending on what time I leave, but we’re moving into Charlotte later this year.

What do you do during your commute?

If alone, I either listen to music or contemplate my day schedule.  If with my lovely wife and partner Maria, we discuss the day ahead of us.

Yes! Either from Pandora or my collection.  Type depends on the mood, anything from Coltrane, Dean or Bing to Radiohead, Tool, Fugazi…I’m all over the place.

What software are you a power user of?

Not a power user or any of them, on CS6 now.

What’s your favorite spot for a business lunch? Your order? 

Seems like it always ends up being at 300 East or 131 Main, in my opinion the best veggie burger and wedge in town.

Social media habits: 

Not very good at it (maybe that IS a good habit).

To-do list manager: 

My handy Moleskine book with attached pencil.

What everyday thing are you really good at?

Making coffee at C3Lab… lots of it!

What’s your one favorite thing about your job?

I’m able to continue a sign business legacy that my dad started in 1958.

Best time-saving shortcut or Charlotte life hack:

iPhone traffic app.

Sleep routine:

In bed by 11:00, up by 4:30 or 5:00.

Where do you go around Charlotte to get away from the office? 

Lots of places here at the C3Lab, especially a competitive game of ping pong or get some fresh air and sun out on the deck.  However, I really like that I can walk out the door with my dog Neeko and go for a nice walk down the Rail Trail.

What did you eat for breakfast this morning?

A green juice I make every day with the Vitamix (coconut water, spinach, kale, chard, ginger, turmeric, carrots, banana, frozen blue and strawberries).

If you weren’t doing your current job, what would you be doing?

No freakin’ idea, I cannot imagine doing something else.

Best job advice you’ve received:

Be genuine and always give back.

Timbuktu by Paul Auster, all his books are A’s.

Last movie you watched (grade it on a A-F scale):

I just watched A Band Called Death again in preparation for one of our next big events at C3Lab.  It’s an INCREDIBLE documentary. One of the co-producers is Jeff Howlett, a talented photographer (and local film maker) here in Charlotte.  We’ve organized a screening of the film, Q&A with Jeff and finally a live performance by Rough Francis, one of the bands in the movie.  It’s going to be an incredible night happening April 30(see more here).

What’s one thing people don’t know about Charlotte that they should?

I believe many people don’t realize how many talented artists there truly are in Charlotte.

Everyone should support local artists by commissioning or purchasing their art.
