Have you ever stopped by Starbucks for an afternoon pick-me-up and wished you could just get a glass of wine or a craft beer instead of tea or coffee? Your wishes have been granted. Enter Starbucks Evenings.
The menu is dedicated to wine, beer and small plates that makes Starbucks feel more like a high-end appetizers bar than a busy coffee shop.

While East Boulevard’s menu has yet to be released, I ventured down to the Fort Mill location to try it out for myself. Menus vary by region, but this is something along the lines of what you can expect.
The small plates menu has eight options. Think things like Artichoke & Goat Cheese Flatbread, Bacon-Wrapped Dates and Truffle Popcorn that range in price from $2.45 to $6.95.

The wine list is made up of 10 wines. In addition to red and white, a sparkling is also available. Prices start at $7 and go up to $12. They’re also available by the bottle.

I channeled my inner Olivia Pope (I was handling Agenda things) and went for the Truffle Popcorn – get it warmed up – and the Alamos Malbec from Argentina.

(Truth: I wouldn’t get the popcorn again. It’s just the bag from the rack you stand by while you’re in line with some seasoning thrown on top – as in when I said that I wanted the popcorn, she came around the counter and grabbed it from the space next to me. Had I been hungrier, I would’ve nabbed the Spinach Artichoke Dip with Pita Chips. Also, make sure your wine glass is clean. I had to ask for a new one.)
The East Boulevard location’s Evenings menu launches next Tuesday, March 29 and begins at 4 p.m. daily.
