The 30th Annual Elizabeth 8k Road Race: Race kicks off at 8 a.m. at the Hawthorne Rec Center and wraps up with an awards ceremony at Hawthorne’s Pizza. There’s also a 1.5 mile untimed run/walk and a kids’ fun run in Independence Park. Register. Saturday, 3/19
