Danny Gassaway Jeff-Austin Band cover
Back inside. At least for a few more weeks. Hope you enjoyed the Whitewater Center Saturday. Crowd looked massive. Rihanna is in town this Sunday, and there is plenty of great stuff hitting the smaller venues around town this week, like Sister Sparrow, Sinners & Saints, and Jeff Austin. Tough to beat.
Times listed are when the show is scheduled to start, not when the doors are opened. Unless otherwise noted, prices are before taxes and fees.
Agenda Picks
- 3/16/16: Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, Holy Ghost Tent Revival; Visulite Theatre, 8:30 p.m., $12-$15 (Tickets). Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds brings it. The seven-piece band from Brooklyn has enough firepower and soul on the stage to blow the roof off of any venue, which is why I’m excited to see them at a place like Visulite.
- 3/19/16: Sinners & Saints, Mischief Brew, Everymen, Dollar Signs, Jeremy Ray; Petra’s, 9 p.m., $10. Petra’s hosts an eclectic mix of bands, all different types of rowdy, on the same Saturday night. Charlotte bands Sinners & Saints and Dollar Signs will keep things local. And loud. And that’s a good thing.
