Last week we put out a call for nominations for Charlotte’s most eligible bachelor. We didn’t think anyone would pay attention to it but after 140 submissions in 8 hours, we had to shut it down to give ourselves time to sift through everything.
Some of the nominations were a joke (see our honorable mentions below), some were actually pretty moving (siblings sticking up for their siblings always gets us) and some definitely came from the men themselves wanting to plead their cases (no harm, no foul).
We heard from women, men, moms, siblings and coworkers who feel strongly that they know a few good men in Charlotte. Here are 10 of those men.

Honorable Mention
Charlie Loveluck (Katie’s dog)
Why: Well he isn’t really a human male, or really even a dog. He is honestly more like a pig. He gets along decently with females (cats), and seems to be reasonably potty trained. His parents seem nice, but one does CrossFit so I don’t really trust him.

Why: (1) All around great, talented guy. Loves beer and his family. Passionate about life. Head brewer at NoDa Brewing Company. Check out his TedX talk. (2) Head brewer/co-owner of NoDa Brewery. He’s given a Ted Talk, so he’s interesting. He’s a gym rat, so he’s in shape. and he’s my friend, which means he’s good people.

Why: Donnie Malpass always knows how brighten up your day. His fun spirit and contagious smile makes having fun as simple as ordering an Uber, a company Donnie is very fond of. This former 2013 Guys & Dolls Bachelor spends much of his free time working with the CF Foundation where he recently co-chaired an auction Gala that raised $220K. During the week you can catch Donnie in his natural habitat as a Charlotte Top 30 Under 30 Young Professional supporting the IT Infrastructure for a Fortune 500 company. You might also find him suited up schmoosing Uptown on the weekends; simply look for a group of people that have fallen spell to his positive attitude and kind soul.

Why: Charlotte is A diverse city, and this list certainly needs to reflect that. With many different scenes and communities, a certain segment is getting louder, prouder, and relevant in recent years. While the City has been represented by Queen Charlotte, the LGBT community has been represented by socialite, lover, and our friend, Mario! This 36 year old, Duke Energy Employee has it all, except his KING! It’s time, he’s ready, let’s find Mario his KING in a city of Queens!

Why: Mike is an intelligent, hardworking professional who has numerous sought after qualities. He is a meteorologist and business owner with a kind heart and compassionate attitude. Mike is charming, easy going and has been known to make friends wherever he goes!

Why: I’ve known Adam since high school. He is the sweetest, caring, and the most amazing friend to both my husband and I. He is an uncle to two twin boys and family is one of his top priorities. He is incredibly successful, as he has an MSA and works uptown in Accounting. He lives in the coolest bungalow craftsman type home in NoDa and really enjoys living there. He hasn’t been able to land the perfect catch quite yet, but he is most definitely one of Charlotte’s most eligible bachelors.

Why: (1) Chris is one of the coolest, funniest, most eligible guys I know. He’s in PR and has worked for the Arena Football League, NASCAR, and top sports agencies. He is always up for a good time, LOVES his family and is an incredible friend. He’s adventurous and has the absolute best sense of humor. Someone needs to snap him up!!!!! (2) A charismatic, attractive, successful man (and hell of a cook) that deserves a wonderful woman!

Why: (1) John Mark is a real catch, the bee’s knees, the cat’s pajamas… You get the drift. John Mark represents Charlotte each and every day by working for the Charlotte Regional Visitor’s Authority. He embodies Charlotte charm and class. He has southern hospitality and style. Truly, he is a lot of fun and one of the good guys. He represents himself and Charlotte well as THE most eligible bachelor. Did I mention that he enjoys long walks on the beach?! (2) John Mark, JMF as we like to call him, is one of a kind. He’s fun, witty and has a southern charm and swagger. JMF loves life and doesn’t take himself too seriously. He’s got a smile that lights up a room. He loves his sports and a fun night out, but he can cook too! JMF is THE most eligible bachelor in Charlotte. Time to put that to an end!

Why: (1) Scott is an all around mensch. He is kind, generous and hugely involved in Charlotte. I think he might know 80% of the people who live here. He once gave me 20 packets of Oreos for free (long story). He’s whip smart. He helps run code for Charlotte and is a teacher with tech talent south. In other words, he’s developing the talent that so many people here want to see. tl;dr: Scott is v eligible. (2) He’s kind, helpful, active, supportive of the arts and local community, and has impeccable taste.

Why: Campbell is my little brother so I’m biased but he has a heart of gold and he’s certainly one of Charlotte’s most eligible bachelors. If you’re looking for a range he’s your young gun. Queens University student body president and big man on campus, Campbell is an easy favorite of teachers, students, and school donors alike. He’s charmed presumably half of Charlotte with his charismatic personality, intelligence, and kindness, and to balance out all of his strengths he’s grounded with his Texas roots. Everyone from Texas is really humble right? Maybe that parts a little off, but he’s down to earth, I swear! World traveler with good taste, appreciates fine wine and ethnic foods but also appreciates frugality – like our favorite cheap taco spots on south Blvd or the craft beer specials at the Meyers Park Harris Teeter Upstairs bar. I don’t know how long this is supposed to be but hey trust me – Campbell Warren Corder is one of Charlottes most eligible bachelors.
