Cimarron Sky Gallery is the latest addition to South End’s gallery crawl and one of the few collections of American Western art in the South.
Location = 214 W. Tremont Avenue, right by where you turn left to go to Sycamore Brewing. It’s home to about 80 or 90 pieces, including works from the top Western sculptors.
Owner is Tim Rowley, a long-time collector of American Western art.
He’s passionate about the art and what it says about the history of the country. He said he found there was a void in the market in the Southeast. Most of the time collectors have to go to Scottsdale, Arizona or Jackson Hole, Wyoming. His customers come from all over the region.
Prices on the pieces range from around $400 to $28,000.
This one below is the $28,000 one.
Other cool notes: They want to eventually host poker nights (with beer).
You can also check out books from their lending library to up your knowledge of the American West.
