Plans for replacing Tremont Music Hall are still up in the air

We knew that a development was coming there, but didn’t know what it would be. We thought we had our first hint…

Some bare-bones documents filed with the city described a six-story, 190,000-square-foot project with parking and an “accessory building.” It’s described as a “SA Facility” and that’s literally it.

I was just told that these plans were cancelled. Another project is likely in the works, but the client behind it doesn’t want to be contacted.

Here’s hoping some plans are made public soon.

There’s a lot going on in that area, and it would be great to have some kind of cohesive vision behind Tremont Avenue.

Right on the other side of Tryon Street, Pollack Shores has filed plans for about 400 apartments on Tremont Avenue. Public hearing in May.
