Scenes from Charlotte’s MLK Call to Service (9 photos)

More than 500 Charlotteans spent their Saturdays at East Mecklenburg High or the Military and Global Leadership Academy at Marie G. Davis as part of Hands on Charlotte‘s day of service honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Some of the things volunteers did: Sanitized and wrapped children’s books, donated blood, created jump ropes and made Valentines’s Day candygrams.

Here’s how things looked at East Meck.
