Willie Nelson, Duran Duran and Tool (with Primus) have all recently announced dates in Charlotte for the first few months of the year. All incredibly different. All exciting.
Times listed are when the show is scheduled to start, not when the doors are opened. Unless otherwise noted, prices are before taxes and fees.
Agenda Picks
- 12/11/15 (Friday): Southern Culture On The Skids, 6 String Drag; Visulite Theatre, 9 p.m., $15-$18 (tickets). SCOTS has been all over since they came together in Chapel Hill more than 30 years ago. This trio doesn’t sound like anyone else, blending music you’d hear in the mountains, in the country and at the beach to form a unique sound that should make you want to grab someone and dance.
- 12/11/15 (Friday): John Scofield & Jon Cleary, McGlohon Theater, 8 p.m., $27.50-$37.50 (tickets). Combine a guitar player in John Scofield with the smooth-singing, piano-playing Jon Cleary and you’ll get a night of rich, melodious jazz. Two legends on stage.
