Another new brewery is in the works for Plaza Midwood

Another new brewery could soon come to Plaza Midwood, according to plans filed with the city. The working title for the new spot is Central Brewery, and would take over a warehouse off Central Avenue.

• This new brewery, should it come to fruition, would follow Legion Brewing in Plaza Midwood. Legion is just about set to open, mostly waiting on alcohol permits to come through.
• The Central Brewery warehouse is currently used by the McLamb Group, which does marketing and fulfillment.
• Central Brewery’s property must go through a rezoning first. A public hearing is set for February 15.
• Plans call for dedicated food truck parking, short- and long-term bike parking and a new mezzanine roof.
