Plaza Midwood will be getting its first ABC store

Right now, if you live in Plaza Midwood and want to buy a handle of Jack Daniels, your options are kind of limited. You can try to hit the ABC store  on Cherry Street on your way home; otherwise, you’ll have to hoof it up to North Tryon or North Graham.

But Plaza Midwood will soon be getting its very own liquor store. The county ABC board is planning to sign a letter of intent to lease space on Central Avenue, in the Central Square Shopping Center.

• You’ll have to be patient. Space won’t be available until the third quarter of 2017

• Address is 1332 Central Avenue
• This is the shopping center with Bistro La Bon.
• The ABC store will replace Family Dollar
• 4,900 square feet
• Five year lease with a five year option
