(1) Solis Southline – 2508 South Boulevard

This is the lot right across from Good Bottle at Remount Road. Terwilliger Pappas has plans to turn this into a mixed-use development with 300 apartments, 5,200 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and a parking garage.

The project appears to have just broken ground.

(2) SouthEnd Plaza – 2400 South Boulevard

This is across from the Taco Bell, and if you drive by, a sign on the property says the project was expected to be delivered by summer 2014. That obviously didn’t happen, but it looks like there may now be movement. MPV Properties is developing a three story, 36,000-square-foot medical and retail building, according to marketing materials.

(3) 2317 South Boulevard Redevelopment

This is another MPV Properties project close to the Publix. The company plans to turn this into an 8,000-square-foot retail building anchored by a MattressPro. They’re still looking to lease 3,000 square feet of retail.
(4) 2301 South Boulevard
This high profile corner had been marketed for awhile, and Gibson Smith Realty tells me that it now has a tenant that’s going to put in a new building (but declined to tell me who it is). City records make it look like this will become a Bank of America branch. Certainly would be a strong move toward bringing in all the young people living in the apartments across the street.
(5) Atherton Mill
This is the granddaddy of all the South Boulevard projects. It’s probably better just to read this Jason Thomas story to get all the background. Some activity is starting to heat up, judging by the activity out there recently.
