I love breakfast in Charlotte. I’m a power user of Charlotte go-to spots like Poppy’s, Owen’s, Flying Biscuit, Original Pancake House, Midnight Diner, Charlotte Cafe, and Toast.
I freaking love Toast. Need evidence? This is what my wife and I ordered at Toast on Hurricane Saturday…

I’m awkward about eating alone, thus I often want a grab and go breakfast that’s convenient and delicious. I’ve been exploring some under-the-radar breakfast options and here’s what you need to know about the four underrated grab and go breakfast options in Charlotte.

What to order: Camden Block Burrito ($5.40) – Seasoned grilled potatoes, scrambled eggs and cheese with your choice of Mexican chorizo, smoked sausage, or applewood bacon and poblano gravy. Not too big, not too small – it’s like a torpedo for your belly. The insides don’t fall out, so it’s perfect for a drive-and-eat. Runner-up order: Southend Western ($7.40) – Grilled smoked sausage and peppers with caramelized red onions, seasoned potatoes, scrambled eggs, Monterey Jack cheese, poblano gravy, and salsa. Coffee situation: Enderly (local and delicious). Hours: Monday – Friday (7 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.), Saturday – Sunday (8 a.m. – 1 p.m.). Agenda Pro Tips:

Rhino Market
What to order: Breakfast Burrito ($4.49) – scrambled egg, potato, sausage, cheese, and salsa wrapped. It’s massive. It’s delicious. Runner-up order: Classic English Muffin Sandwich ($3.99) – you choose: scrambled egg, sausage, soysage, brown sugar peppered bacon, choice of cheese. It’s kind of overflowing and very hard to eat in the car. I recommend sitting down and eating this quickly. Coffee situation: Enderly, Pure Intentions and Parliament (all local, all delicious). Hours: Monday – Saturday (7 a.m. – 11 a.m.), Sunday (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.) Agenda Pro Tips:
- The guy that works the kitchen for breakfast is extremely friendly. Great chatter.
- Rhino Market only offers two breakfast item options (I love this).
