Ad agency Eric Mower + Associates has a Silver Lion in their office

Eric Mower + Associates (EMA for short) is one of the largest independent ad agencies in the country: 250 people across eight offices. The Charlotte office is led by Matt Ferguson and currently has 36 employees.

I’m a big fan of Matt (as I think everybody is in the advertising community). He was kind enough to have me over to snap a few photos of the EMA crib.

EMA fast facts

• Current Charlotte job openings: 2 – Account Planner and Art Director.
• EMA recently won a Silver Lion at Cannes (arguably advertising’s top awards event) for their Domtar work. Their Silver Lion was in the Mobile Services category for Domtar’s Project Learning Curve (effort to increase handwriting among students). Overall, they’re winning all sorts of fancy advertising awards for their Domtar work.
• Even though the Charlotte office is one of eight EMA locations, they still cover all advertising disciplines: account management, project management, PR, social media, digital, copywriting, art direction, media planning/buying, production, insight, strategy, etc.

• Current Carolinas-based clients include: AmWINS, Cedar Fair Entertainment/Carowinds, Chiquita, Charlotte Pipe & Foundry, Daimler Trucks North America (its sales & marketing operation is in Fort Mill), Domtar (paper), Nucor (steel) and Sensus.
