Goodbye Selwyn Cleaners, hello One Life Raw Juice Bar

A new juice bar named One Life Raw Juice Bar is taking the place of Selwyn Cleaner’s on Selwyn (address 2927 Selwyn Ave). The juice bar will open in mid-October.

Selwyn Cleaners posted the following note on their window for current customers: “We are very sorry to inform you that this location will be closed from August 31st 2015. Please visit our other location ‘REX CLEANERS’ at 3922 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28209. You may pick up your dry cleaning from ‘REX CLEANERS’ after August 30th. The owners, price and the great service will remain the same. If you have any questions of concerns, please call us at 704-523-3822 or 704-332-8399. Thank you.”

What is One Life Raw Juice Bar?

One Life Raw Juice Bar describes itself as an “organic specialty bar offering raw vegan tapas, veggie based smoothies, cold press juices, nut mylks, holistic juice cleanses and spiked cold press cocktails. Our focus is to help our customers maintain and enjoy the ‘One Life’ that has been giving to them. One Life Raw Juice Bar thrives on helping and educating others with self-awareness, wellness and being the healthiest you can be, along with providing fresh local products that will give you the vitality you’ve always wanted.”

3 questions with founder Tameyka Rustin

CA: What will likely be your most popular items?

TR: I think that our popular items will be our herbal cold press juice line, raw vegan artisan small plates such as our cheese plate, and our SuperFood Smoothies.

CA: Can you give us an idea on pricing?

TR: Cold press juices and nut mylks will cost $9.50 to $13, SuperFood Smoothies will cost $7.50 and raw vegan artisan small plates will start at $6.

CA: What’s driving you to open this store?

TR: I want to share the knowledge that I’ve gained through my healthy eating journey. I want others to know how it feels to be their best self. That’s why you always hear me say, “Have you made a healthy choice today?” and “You only have one life.”

CA: What else should people know about One Life Raw Juice Bar?

TR: Our focus is on using unique raw vegan superfood ingredients that will provide more nutrients and the overall vitality needed to function at your highest capacity. We want the experience at the juice bar to be fun yet an overall mind and body awareness for others. We’re also excited to say that we will launch organic superfood cocktails infused with our cold press juice New Year Eve. They’re absolutely beautiful and taste great. We call them spiked cold press! I feel this European-inspired concept will be very refreshing and is very much needed in the Charlotte area.
