24 Hours of Booty takes place this weekend. Here’s what you need to know.
Background & Logistics
- The 14th annual 24 Hours of Booty ride starts on Friday, July 24th at 7pm and ends on Saturday, July 25th at 7pm.
- More than 1,200 riders will participate.
- Traffic implications: “One lane around the ‘Booty Loop’ will be closed for cyclists the entire 24 hours of the event. From 6:30pm Friday, July 24 until 6pm, Saturday, July 25, both of the northbound lanes of Queens Road West will be closed to traffic.”
- The hub of the event is called Bootyville and located at Myers Park Traditional School & Queens University of Charlotte (2132 Radcliffe Avenue Charlotte, NC 28207). This is where 108 teams will gather for camping, food, etc.
- Fundraising: They’ve well surpassed the $1 million mark this year and have set a new fundraising goal of $1.6 million. Donate.
- Funds go to the following organizations: Carolinas HealthCare System’s Levine Cancer Institute, the LIVESTRONG Foundation, The Keep Pounding Fund at Carolinas Medical Center, the Brain Tumor Fund for the Carolinas, Be The Match Foundation and Wind River Cancer Retreats.
- Parking will be located at Parking Deck A adjacent to the Myers Park Traditional School field (carpooling strongly encouraged).

Schedule
Friday, July 24th
- 2pm – Participant campsite set up in “Bootyville”
- 6:25-6:45pm – Opening Ceremonies at Start Line (Queens Road West/Wellesley)
- 6:55pm – National Anthem at the Start/Finish Stage
- 7pm – Event Start/Survivor Parade Lap (at corner of Wellesley & Queens Road West)
- 8pm – Dinner in the Food Tent
- 9pm – Top Fundraiser Award Program featuring former NFL player Chris Draft (Food Tent in Expo Area)
- Midnight Pizza Party – Food Tent in Expo Area
- All Night – The Duke Energy Center will be lit in orange and yellow in honor of the event.
Saturday, July 25th
- 8am – Levine Cancer Institute Mission Breakfast Program
- 10am – Kids’ Ride and Bomb Pop Party with Sir Purr in Bootyville
- 10:30am – Kids’ Dance Party with Trips for Kids
