The Mantras are playing a late-night set around midnight at The Rabbit Hole following their River Jam performance. That is cool. Bands love The Rabbit Hole. I am a fan as well. We’re still in festival season, but a lot of talent is continuing to make the trek to Charlotte. Welcome back, Visulite Theatre, who has a few shows this weekend after taking a few weeks off. We missed you.
Times listed are when the show is scheduled to start, not when the doors are opened. Unless listed otherwise noted, prices are before taxes and fees.
Agenda Picks
- 7/15/15: Tedeschi Trucks Band, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings; Uptown Amphitheatre, 6:30pm, $47.09-$120.31. A bit pricey, but should be a great time. Derek Trucks is one of the best guitar players in the world, and together with his wife, Susan Tedeschi, makes some of the best contemporary blues music out there.
- 7/18/15: The Jauntee, Hot Monica, Crackers and Snackmeat; Rabbit Hole, 9pm, $10. The Jauntee hail from New England, have played 100+ gigs a year over the last few years, and are considered by some to be the next great jam band. Lots of progressive sounds and improvisations in their live shows.
