Pure Pizza Plaza Midwood to open end of June

Pure Pizza has made a name for itself in Charlotte and throughout the state since opening its flagship location in 7th Street Public Market in 2012. Earlier this month they were listed among the “10 pizza joints in North Carolina that will leave you craving more”.

The new Pure Pizza Plaza Midwood location will join Fuel Pizza and Pizza Peel on a 0.3-mile stretch of Central Avenue henceforth known as Pizza Row.

Pure Pizza Plaza Midwood facts:

• Slated to open end of June 2015
• Will host a Saturday morning produce market with local vendors
• Back shed will be converted into a greenhouse for growing toppings

• Expanded menu with new salads, pizzas, sandwiches and sides

According to Charlotte Business Journal, the 2,500-square-foot space will seat 42 with additional seating on the front patio. Progress doesn’t look to be too far along inside but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for the June opening because their new menu items look like serious business.

They’ve been teasing Plaza Midwood’s new menu items on Facebook and Twitter with hashtag #PurePizzaPM. Notable additions include:

Brussel Sprouts roasted with Guanciale topped with Fresh Parmesan Cheese

The Mediterranean – Mozzarella, Spinach, Olives, Tomato, Pickled Onion & Feta

Kale Salad – roasted carrots, onions, goat cheese, mushrooms, tomato and bacon tossed in lemon vinaigrette

The Full Boar – tomato sauce, mozzarella, sausage, chorizo, andouille, bacon and pulled pork
