Memorial Day Weekend is always a good time to get outside, unless there is good music going on inside. Luckily we’ve got several Whitewater Center shows this weekend. Also, Snug Harbor has a killer outdoor area out back. You’re welcome.
Times listed are when the show is scheduled to start, not when the doors are opened. Unless listed otherwise noted, prices are before taxes and fees.
Agenda Picks
- 5/23/15: SNUG 600: Jesse Clasen, Spirit System, The Nude Party, 1970s Film Stock; Snug Harbor 10pm, $5. YUP. Wide range of groups playing for $5 on a long weekend, weather is looking perfect, show starts at 10pm so you can get your other activities out of the way before. Again, Snug Harbor has one of the best outdoor beverage-consumption areas in Charlotte, so you can head there between bands. I saw The Nude Party open for Monophonics at the Visulite about a month ago, and they surprised me. Good stuff.
- 5/24/15: The Infamous Stringdusters, US National Whitewater Center, 8pm, free. These guys get started at 8pm, but the music starts at 4pm, and you should really spend all day Sunday at the Whitewater Center. If you like bluegrass or country music or being outside, get yourself here. Really fun music.
