News Briefing

C3 Labsa new co-working spot in South End, recently opened its doors.

Facts

  • Founded by Glen Nocik, Maria Nocik & Glyn Stanley (photo below). Cool people. I hungout at the space for 15 minutes and awkwardly used their internet – they had good talk.
  • Rates: Day passes are $20, Shared Space – $195/mo, Lab Station/Private Office – $295-875/mo, Artist Studio/MakerSpace – $350-650/mo. Includes a number of amenities.
  • Huge maker space in the back. I only mess with the internet, but if you build physical products, there is awesome space to do it here.
  • Perfectly sized event space for larger crowds (2,500 square feet with outside patio). Charlotte needs a space this size for the creative community to gather.
  • C3 Labs is brand new (not sure they’ve had an official launch announcement), so I’d estimate almost 85% of the space is available from creeping around the office.
  • Fun fact: Wooden floor planks are from the old Johnson C. Smith bleachers.

  • The size of the event space in C3 Labs is perfect for TedxCharlotte style events and company offsite meetings. This will be a popular business/creative event venue.
