Boulder's food scene has plenty cooking, from a buzzy opening to bagels, beer and pizza expansions.

🥗 True Food Kitchen is set to open its new location Aug. 10.
- The 167-seat restaurant at 1755 29th St. will have a 38-seat patio and 16-seat bar.
- The Boulder outpost will be the Arizona chain's first with a dedicated coffee shop serving breakfast and espresso drinks, though that portion is expected to open a few weeks later.
🥯 Nederland's Decent Bagel officially opened its east Boulder shop at 5863 Arapahoe Ave.
🍕 Boulder-based pizza chain Cosmo's is building a new Broomfield location, according to BizWest.
🍕 Slice House, a fast-casual pizza franchise, is expected to open its Longmont location at 725 Harvest Moon Drive in mid-August.
- Slice House opened a Boulder location on the Twenty Ninth Street mall earlier this year.
🧁 "B" Sweet Cupcakes is expected to move from Loveland to downtown Berthoud sometime this summer.
- The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports that "B" Sweet is relocating after 15 years after its landlord put the building up for sale.
📆 Events
🍻 Lucky No. 13: Two east county breweries are partying for their birthdays.
- 12 Degree Brewing at 820 Main St. in Louisville celebrates Saturday with giveaways and special beer releases.
- Odd13 Brewing at 301 E Simpson St. will hold a three-day bash from July 31–Aug. 2, featuring new beer releases, custom cups, DJs, karaoke and a comic book pop-up.
🌮 Mister Oso is throwing an "Oso Long Strange Trip" on Aug. 1 in honor of Jerry Garcia's birthday.
- Grateful Dead cover bands, tacos, margaritas and local art vendors will be in the Moxy Boulder courtyard at 1247 Pleasant St. from 4-7pm.
🌵 Aviano Coffee Boulder is hosting a pop-up succulent bar from 10am–1pm Aug. 9.
- Guests can build a custom mini arrangement with clay charms and crystals and grab hand-crafted beverages.
🎟️ Tickets are on sale for the annual Boulder Taco Fest on Aug. 22 in downtown Boulder.
- General admission wristbands start at $38 and include three tickets for one of the 13 announced food vendors.
