Nissan shareholders on Monday voted to remove from the board the company's former chairman Carlos Ghosn, who faces financial misconduct charges in Japan, the AP first reported.

Details: The extraordinary shareholders' meeting in Tokyo was the first such gathering since the 65-year-old was first arrested in November. During the meeting, shareholders voted to remove the U.S. representative director Greg Kelly, who also faces charges in Japan. Both deny any wrongdoing.
