Americans killed, wounded in Kabul hotel attack

Multiple Americans were killed and injured in the attack on a Kabul hotel over the weekend, a State Department official told the AP.

There were at least 14 foreigners killed in the attack at the luxury Intercontinental Hotel, per the BBC. At least 22 people were killed in total, though some reports put the death toll higher. The attack ended with an hours-long gunfight between attackers and members of the Afghan special forces.
