Bank of America's $5M gift to new Teddy Roosevelt library

Zoom in: Bank of America is also funding the assessment and potential conservation of 110 presidential portraits and frames at the 64-year-old "America's Presidents" exhibition at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery, "many of which have never undergone formal conservation."

• The Teddy Roosevelt library is being built in Medora, North Dakota. The Kennerly exhibition, opening this fall, "offers an intimate look at the presidency and the people behind it over the last half-century, as well as the cultural moments that shaped the nation," the announcement says.

Brian Moynihan, chair and CEO of Bank of America, said: "The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library — and the Kennerly exhibition on the modern presidency — reflect Theodore Roosevelt's belief that strong leadership and democratic institutions drive economic opportunity."
