Google's Christmas cookie map shows a peanut butter takeover

Zoom in: Google Trends analyzed which Christmas cookie recipes saw the biggest spike in search interest from Nov. 12 to Dec. 12 — and peanut butter-heavy classics led much of the country, according to data shared with Axios.

• "Peanut butter blossoms" are the top-trending Christmas cookies this month, Google told Axios, while the Poinsettia cocktail is the top-trending Christmas drink.
• Spritz cookies — a buttery, shortbread-like cookie pressed through a cookie press into festive shapes — also surged in popularity.
