State of play: Noah Baumbach ("Marriage Story") directs this film about a famous actor (played by Clooney) embarking on a journey of self-discovery, accompanied by his doting manager (played by Sandler).
What they're saying: "I read [the script] and I thought, 'Well, I kind of know how to play this part.' This character has a lot more regrets than I would have, because, luckily for me, fame came much later in my life," Clooney said in a statement.
- "I got to figure out how to live life before I figured out how to be famous, and I don't think this character did."
"Hard Knocks: In Season With The NFC East" available now on HBO Max
Zoom in: This weekly series will follow the reigning Super Bowl LIX champion Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Giants and the Washington Commanders.
