Semafor appoints Rachel Keidan as head of communications

Details: In this role, Keidan will report to Semafor CEO Justin Smith and will oversee internal and external communications for the company.

• She joins Semafor from fintech firm Superstate, and previously held advisory roles at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and U.S. Department of Education.
• She succeeds Meera Pattni who departed Semafor earlier this year after serving as its first communications lead.

• The organization says that more than 50% of its revenue is generated by live events, with its World Economy Summit serving as a tentpole initiative.
